"As a person with multiple disabilities, it is often very hard to find a service with enough care and expertise to understand your different needs and the differing challenges you may face on any day of the week, that makes it hard for you to live your 'best life'. Proactive Support not only have employed wonderful caring staff, but have sought, where possible, to match me with the 'best fit' for my personality and feelings, as well as them having the necessary abilities to assist me, in whatever endeavour that I've undertaken or sought to complete. Also, as a person who has quite high anxiety using the phone, as well as talking to people in authority, I usually find it very difficult to call a service provider and ask for help. This is in needing: support personnel, or changing a schedule or having a person with specific abilities for certain activities or suddenly needing help in trying to achieve certain outcomes where my circumstances have changed or a short-term staff arrangement for something that has come up out of the blue. With the directors and admin of Proactive Support, everyone has such a calm and caring attitude, that I very quickly became assured that I need not be fearful or anxious in contacting them. I feel at times, that Proactive Support has gone the extra mile in helping me. This has been to achieve good outcomes that will enhance my life, or they have removed me from a stressful and high anxiety-producing situation, because of their assistance. Proactive has been exactly who they say they are, they have sought to be Proactive in helping me to Live My Best Life."
